Punjab Police has now made a new strategy to crack down on criminals and traffic violators in Punjab. Police has now started a project to build modern beat boxes. Real time high tech cameras will be installed on these beat boxes.
Along with this, flasher lights, emergency numbers, emergency information LEDs are being installed. It is hoped that this will benefit the common people. Along with this, there will be success in controlling criminals as well. At present, these beat boxes are being built in rural areas and border areas, where people keep coming and going.
The information will be displayed on the beat as soon as it is received
This is the first beat box of its kind installed in the area under New Chandigarh. Police officials said that if a criminal leaves with a vehicle, then as soon as the police gets the information, its information will be immediately displayed on the beat box.
In such a situation, the police and people will become alert in time. Also, the accused can be caught easily. Similarly, if a road is closed or there is any other information, then by displaying it there, people passing by will be able to know.
However, this work is done by making an announcement first. Secondly, this beat box is very attractive to look at. In such a situation, people’s attention will be drawn towards it. Apart from this, the PCR system of the area has also been connected to it.
Cameras will keep an eye on smugglers and accused
Earlier, the condition of the beat box built in Punjab was very bad. The condition is such that it is difficult to even sit in it. There is more problem during rainy days. Whereas the police has started this project on PPP mode. In the first phase, it has been installed in the border areas adjoining the capital.
This is also important because there are more problems of liquor smuggling and mining etc. in the border areas. In such a situation, the police will have all the updates. Apart from this, the relationship between the police and the people will also be strengthened. Earlier, cameras installed in five cities including Mohali have started from January 26. Along with this, the process of sending challans to the people has also started.
