People should stay safe in their homes

Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that last night also, after a sudden blackout alert came in Panchkula, a blackout was kept in the district. There may be an alert today also. She requested the people of Panchkula that today all the district residents should keep a blackout themselves as a precaution and everyone should stay safe in their respective homes. She appealed to keep all the lights of their houses off and leave the house only in case of essential work.

Switch off the lights of the display boards of the shops

She has also requested the market associations to keep the lights of the display boards of their respective establishments off and not leave any light of their establishments burning. He requested the shopkeepers to observe a blackout as a precautionary measure today and close the market at 7 pm.

He said that those who have CCTV cameras installed at their places should switch off their CCTV cameras before leaving. Switching off the cameras will make the blackout more effective. The lights of the common parking area should also be switched off. He said that electricity will not be cut at the government level, it is an appeal to the general public to fully cooperate in the blackout.

Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that no light should remain lit at night in government headquarters and offices. The officers of the concerned departments should ensure that all the lights in their offices are switched off.

Monitoring teams formed according to the area

Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that in case of a blackout alert, teams have been formed according to the area to inform the people so that the alert information reaches the people on time and all the district residents remain safe.

He said that in case of a sudden blackout alert, people will be informed through sirens and loudspeakers, separate teams have been formed for this. He said that as a precaution, a blackout will be kept in the entire district from 7 o’clock today.

Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that till now the district is completely safe and there is no situation to impose curfew. She said that all activities are being done for safety under caution, people need not be afraid.

She said that follow the information issued by the district administration and do not pay attention to any kind of rumor. She said that only believe the message sent by the district administration. She said that a lot of rumors spread at such a time, so do not pay attention to any rumor.

She said that for information, apart from the social media handle of the district administration, believe only the information posted in the civil society group created by the district administration on WhatsApp.

He told that all the councillors, sarpanchs and other prominent people are being included in this group so that correct and accurate information reaches the people. He told that in today’s meeting it was decided that till the situation is serious, the solar lights will be kept off.

Sensitive areas have been identified

He told that we have identified the sensitive areas. The teams of Health and Fire Department are on alert mode. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himandri Kaushik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nisha Yadav, SDM Panchkula Chandrakant Kataria, SDM Kalka Sanyam Garg, City Magistrate Vishwajeet, District Revenue Officer Dr. Kuldeep Singh, EO of Haryana Urban Development Authority Manav Malik and other concerned officers were present.
