An accused arrested in a drug case at Police Station No. 8 escaped after pushing an ASI. This accused is none other than the notorious thief known as “Makdi” (Spider), who used to climb the walls of people’s houses to commit burglaries and had now become involved in the drug trade. Earlier, people had caught him and handed him over to the police at Police Station No. 8, but a former SHO had released him for personal gain.
According to information, on October 30, the police of Police Station No. 8 arrested Mehboob Ali alias Makdi, a resident of Noorpur, in a drug case. The accused was taken on remand and was being interrogated in the lockup.
