Gangster Jagga Phookiwal claims responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post
A post by a gangster regarding the firing incident that took place last night in Shahjahanpur village of Sultanpur Lodhi constituency in Kapurthala district is going viral on social media. Several cases, including extortion, are registered against this gangster in different police stations. It should be noted that this gangster is a resident of the same village. The post, which is going viral on social media, cites personal enmity as the main reason. In a status update posted on Facebook, he wrote: “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Di Fateh, today in Sultanpur Lodhi, (Congress Chairman Harjinder Singh) suffered a loss, Jagga Fukiwal takes responsibility for it. We have an old feud with him; we didn’t do this for any ransom. We spared him because of his newborn daughter; otherwise, we could have gone to his house and killed him. The rest of you who are on his side, be warned.” Following this post, the Punjab Police are reinvestigating the case and have stated that they will soon arrest the culprits.
