Reports have emerged regarding a road accident on the Goraya Highway. According to the information received, a violent collision occurred between a truck and a car. The impact was so severe that both vehicles overturned on the road. Three people are reported to have sustained serious injuries in the accident. As per the details available, a truck belonging to Nav Bharat Transport (bearing registration number PB10 GS 0998)—loaded with soap and other goods—was traveling towards Jalandhar. En route, on the Goraya Highway, the truck collided violently with a car. Three individuals were seriously injured in the mishap and were admitted to a hospital for treatment, where they are currently undergoing care.
Meanwhile, recounting the incident, the driver of a Bolero stated that he managed to maneuver his vehicle out of harm’s way and had a narrow escape. During the accident, the truck ended up mounting the road divider. One of the injured youths, Sarabjit, explained that he had stopped his vehicle and was preparing to pull into a nearby pump station. He noted that his vehicle’s high-beam flasher (dipper) was engaged at the time, yet the truck driver approached from behind and crashed into the car. As a result of the collision, both the car and the truck overturned on the road. The public promptly informed the police about the incident. Upon reaching the scene, the police commenced an investigation into the matter. The police have stated that statements from both parties involved are currently being recorded, and appropriate legal action will be taken based on these statements.
