A wave of sensation swept through the area this morning following the discovery, under suspicious circumstances, of the body of an unidentified individual in the Sakki Drain located in the village of Talwandi Rai Dadu, Ajnala.
**Body of Individual Found in Drain**
According to reports, villagers immediately alerted the police upon spotting the body in the drain. Arriving at the scene, the police took custody of the body and transported it to the Civil Hospital, where it has been deposited for identification purposes, and the post-mortem process has been initiated. In this regard, Harjit Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Ajnala Police Station, stated that they had received information regarding the presence of a body lying in the drain.
**Police Working to Identify the Body**
Acting swiftly upon receiving the information, a police team reached the spot, took custody of the body, and deposited it at the Civil Hospital, where it will be kept for 72 hours to facilitate identification. Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased was approximately 35 years of age. The name “Sandhu” is inscribed on one of his hands, while a tattoo is visible on the other. Currently, the police are actively investigating the matter and are making concerted efforts to establish the identity of the deceased.
