In the village of Bhuse, falling under the jurisdiction of the Sarai Amanat Khan border police station, unidentified youths riding a motorcycle shot a young man. The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the gunshot.
In connection with this incident, Angrej Singh—the father of the injured victim, Nirvair Singh, and a resident of Bhuse—stated that his son, Nirvair Singh, had gone to the village market late the previous evening to purchase some household supplies. During this outing, a minor altercation ensued with two unidentified youths who approached him from behind on a motorcycle. Following the argument, the youths opened fire on Nirvair Singh, leaving him critically injured.
The injured Nirvair Singh was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Amritsar, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Upon receiving information regarding the incident, a police team led by DSP Sukhbir Singh and SHO Baljinder Singh Bajwa from the Sarai Amanat Khan police station rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation. According to DSP Sukhbir Singh, an intensive manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the unidentified assailants responsible for the shooting.
