A highly sensational case has come to light involving a young woman who was lured into a trap on an online gaming app under the pretext of friendship, blackmailed with obscene photographs taken of her, and subsequently held hostage inside a car in the middle of the road while being robbed. Acting on the victim’s complaint, the Haibowal Police Station has registered a case under grave sections of the law against a cunning young man from Jalandhar named Taran Kumar. The police have launched raids at potential hideouts in an effort to apprehend the accused.
**Accused Hails from Gill Khambra Village in Jalandhar District**
In her statement to the police, the victim recounted that some time ago—while playing PUBG or other online games—she became acquainted with a young man named Taran Kumar, a resident of Gill Khambra village in the Jalandhar district. Gradually, this acquaintance blossomed into a deep friendship. Subsequently, the accused, Taran Kumar, began making frequent trips from Jalandhar to Ludhiana under the pretext of meeting the young woman. The victim alleges that whenever Taran Kumar visited Ludhiana, he would coax her into getting into his car. During these encounters, the accused allegedly engaged in obscene acts with the young woman inside the vehicle on multiple occasions and deceitfully captured several compromising photographs of her on his mobile phone. Furthermore, the cunning accused scoured the victim’s Facebook profile and surreptitiously downloaded several of her photographs from there as well. It was at this point that the accused began to reveal his true colors.
**Accused Forcibly Molested the Victim’s Private Parts**
He began to intimidate and threaten the victim, warning her that he would have these photographs edited by a stranger and then circulate them widely across the internet in an obscene form. Terrified of public disgrace and social stigma, the victim was left deeply shaken and silently endured his torment. The accused had become so emboldened that, with the intent to blackmail, he coerced the victim into meeting him on Chuharpur Road in Haibowal. When the victim arrived there, gripped by fear, the accused forcibly dragged her inside his vehicle. Once inside the car, the accused molested the victim, subjecting her to sexual assault. When the victim fiercely resisted in an attempt to defend her honor, the accused descended into sheer brutality. He brutally assaulted the victim and forcibly snatched a valuable gold bracelet she was wearing on her wrist, along with her mobile phone. Following this, the accused abandoned the victim and sped away from the scene in his vehicle.
**Case Registered Against the Accused**
The victim expressed apprehension that the accused might circulate the photographs on social media to tarnish her social reputation. Inspector Kulwant Kaur of the Haibowal Police Station took immediate action in this matter. Acting swiftly, the police have registered a case against the accused, Taran Kumar, under various serious sections of the law. The police department has stated that special teams have been dispatched to Jalandhar and its surrounding areas to apprehend the accused. The police assert that the accused will be arrested shortly.
