Two youths were shot and injured by individuals on a motorcycle near Noor Bakery on Gurdaspur Road in Batala. Both injured youths have been admitted to the Batala Civil Hospital.
Sahil (16), son of Paramjit Singh, and Ashish Masih, son of Sucha Masih—both residents of village Gilawali—were on their way back to their village from Batala. While they were traveling, individuals on a motorcycle opened fire at them from behind. Both Sahil and Ashish sustained a gunshot wound each and were injured. They were admitted to the Batala Civil Hospital; however, after assessing their condition, the doctor referred both of them to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar. The police are currently investigating the matter.
