Having sustained a severe head injury, the victim battled for his life in the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Following this horrific accident, the callous driver fled the scene with his vehicle. Meanwhile, acting swiftly on a complaint, the Sahnewal police have registered a case against the unidentified tractor driver. Police officials state that CCTV footage and other concrete evidence are being examined; they have vowed that the absconding driver will not be spared and will soon be apprehended.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on June 5. Amritpal (aged approximately 40), a resident of New Subhash Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, was returning home on his Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle after completing some personal work. En route, an unidentified tractor-trolley—acting as an instrument of death—collided violently with his bike. The impact was so severe that Amritpal was thrown a considerable distance onto the road, sustaining critical head injuries. Bloodied and unconscious, he was rushed to SPS Hospital in Ludhiana for treatment; however, despite the doctors’ best efforts, he passed away. This tragedy has inflicted an irreparable wound upon the entire family.
The deceased, Amritpal, had been married for about eight years but had no children. The family had been hoping to hear the sound of a child’s laughter in their home when fate played this cruel trick on them. Karamvir, the deceased’s brother, recounted that their mother had called to inform him of the horrific accident on June 5. He rushed to the hospital, only to find that Amritpal had already lost his battle for life. Although the cunning tractor-trolley driver managed to flee the scene after causing the accident, he will not be able to escape the law. His actions have been fully captured by CCTV cameras installed in the area. The victim’s family has appealed to the police administration to put the killer driver behind bars as soon as possible.
