A tragic accident occurred in the city on Monday. A speeding truck ran over an elderly couple. The husband died on the spot, while the wife has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
The accident took place in Jujhar Nagar. The elderly couple was out for some work when a speeding truck struck them. The husband died after the truck’s tire ran over his head, while the wife’s leg was severely crushed; she also sustained injuries to other parts of her body.
Passersby stepped in to help and immediately rushed the injured elderly woman to the hospital. Meanwhile, the police have taken possession of the husband’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
