However, in some locations, newly appointed teachers on probation reported for duty and supervised the students. Teachers had provided prior information.
It is reported that teachers had informed students on Wednesday about the strike scheduled for Thursday. This significantly affected student attendance; at the schools that remained open, approximately 90 percent of students did not attend, with only about 10 percent showing up.
Children’s Studies Disrupted
Students who did attend school faced disruptions to their studies as regular classes were not held. Parents were also uncertain about the situation; some checked with teachers before sending their children to school, while others kept them at home after learning about the strike.
