Major Plot Driven by Grudge Over Shop Eviction! Locks Broken; Goods and Cash Worth ₹15 Lakhs Stolen

Date:

A sensational case has come to light involving the theft of goods and cash worth lakhs of rupees—and vandalism aimed at forcibly evicting the occupant—after the locks on a shop’s shutter were broken on Chuhadpur Road. When the aggrieved shopkeeper conducted his own inquiry, the involvement of the shop owner and his associates was revealed. Based on the victim’s statement, the police have registered a case against the named accused and initiated a legal investigation.

In his official statement to the police, the complainant stated that he runs a shop named ‘Arora Footwear’ on Chuhadpur Road, dealing in kites, kite strings, and Holi supplies. On the intervening night of August 6 and 7, 2026, unidentified individuals broke the locks on the shop’s shutter and entered the premises. The accused stole items including one revolving chair, four plastic chairs, one large white plastic cooler, one small iron cooler, a glass showcase counter, a wooden counter (containing ₹50,000 in cash), a tent-style table, an iron single-door, and a complete stock of kites, strings, footwear, and Holi colors—collectively valued at approximately ₹15 lakhs.

The victim alleged that the incident was orchestrated by Pankaj, Jyoti, Vijay Mandi, Pawan Mandi, Gaurav Kumar Mandi, Saurav Mandi, and Ajit, among others. The root cause of the dispute lies in past financial dealings and possession rights regarding the shop. He had acquired the shop from Pankaj for ₹10 lakhs (paid in installments) and had held possession of it for the past five years. The accused wanted to forcibly evict him from the shop through coercion and high-handed tactics. Driven by this animosity, the accused systematically broke the locks of the shop and made off with cash and goods worth lakhs.
