An FIR has been registered against All India Bishnoi Mahasabha’s national president Devendra Budia for rape in Adampur, Hisar. The woman from Haryana alleged that Budia first lured her into sending her abroad. He called her to a five-star hotel in Chandigarh and a flat in Jaipur and raped her several times. When she protested, Budia first told me- “I know Salman Khan. I will make you a star.” When she still protested, he threatened to kill her.
When she got fed up with Budia, she told her family about it. After her complaint, the police have registered a case against Devendra Budia, a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, under sections 376, 354 and 506 of the IPC.
The timing of this case is also linked to the ongoing dispute in the Bishnoi Mahasabha. There was a dispute going on in the Mahasabha between president Budia and BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former CM Chaudhary Bhajanlal, who was the patron. Kuldeep has also left the post of patron. The Adampur police station where the FIR was registered is the stronghold of the Kuldeep Bishnoi family.
1. Met Budhiya to go abroad, asked to do a course in Chandigarh
In the complaint given to the Adampur police, the girl has told that in 2022 I told my family that I want to go abroad. In 2023, my father took me to Adampur to meet Devendra Budhiya, President of the All India Bishnoi Mahasabha. There he asked for help to send me abroad.
Budhiya assured us that he fully supports the Bishnoi community. He will also help in sending the girl abroad. After this, Budhiya said that he will send me to Australia, but will get a course done for her in Chandigarh and will arrange all the expenses on behalf of the society.
2. Raped in the hotel, threatened with prostitution case
The girl said – After that Devendra lured me from Adampur and took me to Hotel Hyatt in Chandigarh. Where he raped me in February 2024. He threatened to kill me and my family if I told anyone about this. He also made a video of me. Budhiya threatened that if I told anyone, he would put me in jail for prostitution. After this I got scared. He raped me. He started raping me after getting intoxicated.
3. Started chatting on WhatsApp, called me to Jaipur on the pretext of course
The girl told the police- The next day I came to my PG. Budhiya got me admitted in an academy located in Sector-34, Chandigarh. Then I started doing the course, but I got only 5 bands in IELTS. Whereas, 6 bands were needed to go to Australia.
After this I came to Adampur. During this time Devendra Budhiya started chatting with me on WhatsApp. Then he asked my father to send me to Jaipur. His (Devendra Budhiya) relative has an institute there. He will get me enrolled in a course there.
4. Got me admitted in Jaipur, raped me when I went to the flat
After that in June 2024, Devendra called me from Adampur to Jaipur and got me a PG in Khatipura. Got me admitted there too. One day in August 2024, Boodia’s PA Gaurav came to me. I told Gaurav that I want to talk to Boodia, please arrange a meeting with him. He brought me to Boodia’s flat in Civil Lines, Jaipur. Devendra was alone there. Devendra raped me there too.
5. Boodia used to say – I am friends with Salman Khan
The girl told the police that Boodia used to tell her that he knows Salman Khan well. If I stay with him, he will make me a star one day. In September 2024, he raped me again in his flat in Jaipur. I was very scared, so I did not tell anyone about this.
By November 2024, nothing happened about me going abroad, so I returned to my village. During this time, Budhiya kept harassing me by calling me repeatedly and kept threatening me. Finally, I told Budhiya that I will not talk to anyone now. If you harass me, I will tell everyone. Then he said that I will kill you and your family. After this, I told the whole thing to the family.
Budhiya said – Kuldeep’s close aide misbehaved with me
The dispute of All India Bishnoi Mahasabha in Haryana started after the state assembly elections. In this election, Bhavya Bishnoi, son of the then patron of the Mahasabha, Kuldeep Bishnoi, lost the election from Adampur assembly seat. 2 months ago, Budhiya suddenly went live on social media. He accused BJP MLA Randhir Panihar, close to Kuldeep Bishnoi, of misbehavior. However, Panihar denied these allegations.
Kuldeep removed Budhiya from the post of Pradhan
After this, Kuldeep Bishnoi removed Budhiya from the post of Pradhan of the Mahasabha. While making Parasram Bishnoi the new president, Kuldeep called Devendra Booria a person who broke the society. After this Booria went to Jodhpur. There he held a meeting of the Mahasabha and passed a resolution to remove Kuldeep Bishnoi from the post of patron.
Booria cited the inter-caste marriage of Kuldeep Bishnoi’s younger son Chaitanya for this. Booria said that this has caused great anger in the entire Bishnoi society. In such a situation, you cannot remain on this post. Booria also announced to take back the Bishnoi Ratna Samman from Kuldeep. Booria also said that crores of rupees are being demanded from him.
