New law implemented in Haryana, land shared by blood relatives will be divided; 15 lakh farmers got relief

Date:

In Haryana (Haryana News), now the division of land in the joint account will be done among blood relations except husband and wife. The Haryana Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill was passed in the Assembly on Thursday.

15 lakh farmers will get relief

While placing the bill on the table of the House, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goyal claimed that the new law will provide relief to 14 to 15 lakh farmers of the state. More than one lakh cases are going on in the courts of Assistant Collector and Tehsildar regarding the dispute of shared land.

In the government of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Section 111-A was added to the law to divide the shared land among the joint owners, but blood relatives and husband and wife were kept out of it. Due to this, litigation is also taking place in cases of joint share among blood related co-owners.

This section will be applicable to all except husband and wife

In such a situation, in all those cases, where a blood-related co-owner demands a share in the joint land, a new section has been added to the rules to provide relief. This section will be applicable to all except husband and wife, even if the owners of the shared land are related by blood.

According to section 114 of the Act, the revenue officers will ensure whether any other co-owner wants to divide the land of his share or not. If yes, then they will also be added as applicants for division.

Lands not divided by mutual consent will be divided like this

According to the new law, all joint landowners except husband and wife, even if they are related by blood, will have to submit a compromise for division within six months from the date of issue of notice by the concerned Assistant Collector and Tehsildar.

If the agreement for land division by mutual consent is not presented by all the joint landowners within the stipulated period, then the revenue officers can give six months more time. If an agreement for division of land is presented by mutual consent of all joint landowners, then the transfer of division of land under section 111-A (3) of the amended Act will be done under the provision of section 123.

If the division is not done by mutual consent of all joint landowners, then the court of Assistant Collector and Tehsildar will ensure division of such land within six months.
