Reports have emerged regarding an incident of indiscriminate public firing by tourists from Punjab in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, which occurred yesterday—Saturday. According to reports, a local youth sustained a gunshot wound during the incident. A video of the event has gone viral on social media. Acting on the matter, the police have arrested four youths from Punjab, while one youth managed to flee the scene.
Providing details regarding the incident, Kullu SP Madan Lal stated that a verbal altercation broke out between local youths and the tourists from Punjab on Saturday evening over a dispute. During the altercation, the tourists opened fire, and a bullet struck a local youth in the leg. As other youths present at the scene attempted to carry the injured victim to the hospital, the assailant reportedly attempted to fire again.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and arrested four youths, while one accused individual escaped from the scene. The police have registered a case against the accused, and further investigations are underway.
